Laurent joined TBI in 2011 and has become a key figure behind the scenes at the laboratory. Behind the lab benches and scientific experiments, he orchestrates the logistics, where every detail counts. He manages the special gas supply, monitors laboratory equipment and coordinates with INSA's logistics departments. Rigour, responsiveness and a keen sense of safety are the hallmarks of his daily work.
Before joining public research, Laurent gained experience in the textile industry, where he worked for over fifteen years as a stock manager in the luxury ready-to-wear sector. After a stint in the heritage department of Toulouse City Council and in mass retail, he finally joined the CNRS through a logistics operator competition. Since then, his career has been marked by a constant desire to learn, adapt and provide concrete solutions.
A highlight of his career at TBI? Moving the laboratory, which was a real collective challenge. Relocating more than a hundred people while maintaining scientific activity was an intense ordeal, involving stress but also great successes.
A fervent supporter of Stade Toulousain, chess enthusiast and lover of good times with friends, Laurent has a simple philosophy on life: be determined at work, carpe diem in life.
