' With a brave heart, nothing is impossible. ' This motto sums up Nathalie's attitude perfectly. She joined TBI in 2009 and is now an essential part of the daily running of the laboratory's largest team. Every day, she provides technical support to a ‘small anthill’ of 80 people: managing stocks and consumables, monitoring the laundry and autoclaves, organising material flows, and coordinating with research teams. She is also an autoclave trainer for TBI.
Her career path, far from being linear, has been marked by radical changes. After thirteen years working in the Parisian hotel industry, Nathalie decided to change careers. She obtained a diploma in secretarial and accounting studies and worked in Bordeaux. In 2006, she followed her partner to Toulouse and joined INSA as a cleaning technician. There, she discovered the world of biology, then passed a new competitive examination and joined TBI three years later. She built her position there from scratch, reorganising the laundry, securing equipment, implementing procedures and participating in the development of new infrastructure. Her organisational skills, rigour and adaptability enabled her to cope with the constant unexpected events of a dynamic research environment.
Nathalie is motivated by a deep sense of service. She enjoys being that invisible but indispensable support, and finds recognition of the importance of her role in her daily interactions with passionate colleagues.
Curious and committed to lifelong learning, she escapes into reading fantasy novels, baking, and creative hobbies. Shy by nature but always engaged, Nathalie embodies a form of resilience. For her, every difficulty is a challenge to be overcome, and often an opportunity to reinvent herself.
