Cheerful and passionate, she joined TBI in 2021 to pursue an exploratory and ambitious thesis: using purple sulphur bacteria to capture CO\u2082 through calcium carbonate precipitation. During her thesis, she cultivates these bacteria and optimises their culture conditions in order to better understand their role in this process. At the crossroads of microbiology and process engineering, her research opens up promising prospects for biogas treatment and methane purification. A pioneering, demanding and discovery-rich project, which she has persevered with despite numerous technical challenges.<\/p><p>Originally from Strasbourg, she chose Toulouse to study chemical engineering and environmental engineering. For her, TBI is above all a people-oriented, committed and family-like place. She appreciates the kindness of her supervisors and the team dynamic, which have helped her grow as a scientist and in turn supervise interns.<\/p><p>As an activist in associations for climate and social justice, Morgane seeks to reconcile her convictions with her research work.
